With more than 41,000,000 surveys taken and over 32,000 licenses issued to date, the SF Health Surveys are the most widely used PRO tools in the world. Whether you're working with large populations or individual patients, there's a generic health survey to do the job.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

The SF-36v2®, SF-12v2® and SF-8™ Health Surveys measure the same eight health domains for adults aged 18 and older. They provide psychometrically-based physical component summary (PCS) and mental component summary (MCS) scores.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

These surveys are for adults 18 years of age and older, and can be self-administered or interview-administered. Multiple other modes of administration are offered, such as online, PDA and more. Translations are available for multiple languages and countries.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

Scores are calibrated so that 50 is the average score or norm. This norm-based score allows comparison among the three surveys and across the more than 19,000 studies published in the past 20 years.

This bibliography includes studies of hundreds of diseases, conditions and populations, and greatly enhances the ability to interpret SF health survey data in new studies.

Visual: Opening PowerPoint slide - Nursing Library Lab for New Students

Narration: Welcome everyone! I’m Emily Adams. I am the nursing librarian at the Walden Library. And joining me for this presentation is Kerry Sullivan, our health sciences librarian. We’ve got a lot of material to cover, so we’re going to jump right in.

Visual: Objectives, slide 2

Narration: You’ll notice in the presentation layout that we have a Q & A pod where you can enter your questions. We will either type a response, or verbally answer your question if it is relevant to everyone.

In this session we will cover how to access your course readings. These are the required readings that you’ll find in your course that say Retrieved from the Walden Library. We’ve created pages that have made it really easy to access those.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

We’ll also point out the assignment guides that we’ve created to help you with assignments that require you to use the Library.

Then we’ll go over the nursing resources that are available to you, the databases and books that are available to you as nursing students.

And finally, we’ll do a demonstration using our main nursing database, CINAHL Plus with Full Text.

And with that, let’s start talking about Course Readings!

Visual: Course Readings & Assignment Guides, slide 3.

Narration: Course Readings pages, these are all the required readings that say, Retrieved from the Walden Library in your course. You can come to your course readings page and access all of these readings in one place.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

We’ve created assignment-specific help for certain assignments.

So, now I’m going to share my screen and go over how you can access your Course Readings pages, as well as the assignment guides.

Visual: Screenshare: Library Homepage

Narration: Hopefully, everyone can see the Library homepage. The URL is: https://academicguides.waldenu.edu/library. You don’t have to go through your myWalden portal. You can access this page directly, if you’d like.

On the Library home page there’s a big red Course Readings button over on the left. This is where you’ll come to access all of your required course readings.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

Visual: Screenshare: Course Guides page

Narration: Now you’ll see a number of brown boxes on the left side of the screen. You’ll want to click on N for Nursing. You’ll then see a number of tabs along the center of the screen. You’ll want to click on NURS for Nursing. When you do that, you’ll get a long list of NURS courses. Just scroll down until you see the course you need. I’m going to demonstrate accessing the NURS 6001 course readings page, but you can click on whichever course you are enrolled in.

Visual: Screenshare: NURS 6001 Foundations for Graduate Study course readings page.

Narration: When I click on the NURS 6001 link, I’m taken to the course readings page. In the center of the screen it says, NURS 6001 Required Course Readings. As you scroll down, you’ll see links to all of your required readings from the Library. They’re organized alphabetically by author’s last name. So, when you’re looking for a specific reading, you can just scroll down until you see it and then click on the link.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

Visual: Screenshare: Database login page

Narration: Once you click on the link, you’ll be prompted to log in with your myWalden Portal user name and password. This is your full waldenu.edu email address and the same password as for your Portal. Then you’ll click on Login.

Visual: Screenshare: Database screen

Narration: You’ll then be taken into the database right to the article that you need. Over on the left, you’ll see the PDF full text link. So I can click on that to access the article.

Visual: Screenshare: Database article view.

Narration: The article will then open up and I can read it on my screen, or I can print it out, or save it to my computer. We’ve tried to make accessing required readings as easy as possible. So, hopefully, this will be helpful throughout your studies here at Walden.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

Now I’m going to go back to the Library Homepage and walk through these steps one more time.

Visual: Screenshare: Library homepage

Narration: Back on the Library home page, we see the brightly colored boxes on the left. We click on Course Readings.

Visual: Screenshare: Course Guides page

Narration: Then on the left we click on the brown N box. Then click on the NURS tab. Then scroll down and click on the course that you need. And that will take you to your required course readings.

Visual: Screenshare: NURS 6001 Foundations for Graduate Study course readings page.

Narration: The other thing on this page is an assignment guide for Week 4. The Week 4 discussion in NURS 6001 requires students to get into the Library and find something specific. So we’ve created a guide that goes over how to complete this assignment.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

Visual: Screenshare: NURS 6001 Week 4 page

Narration: If I scroll down, I see the discussion for Week 4. We have step-by-step instructions on how to search CINAHL for a peer-reviewed article. We’re also going to demonstrate this in this presentation. But if you forget, you can come back here and see the steps to complete this search.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

You’ll also see the recording of this lab!

So, that’s course readings and assignment guides. Are there any questions, Kerry?

Kerry: No questions!

Emily: Great! Then I’m going to go back to the Library homepage and point out the nursing resources.

Visual: Screenshare: Library homepage

Narration: I’m just going back to library.waldenu.edu. And this time, instead of going to Course Readings, I’m going to click on the blue Articles by Topic button.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

Visual: Screenshare: Articles by Topic page

Narration: When I do that, in the center of my screen I have a list of subject areas. If you scroll down a little, you’ll see one for nursing.

Visual: Screenshare: Nursing Research page

Narration: When you click on Nursing, you’ll be taken to our nursing research page. There is a lot of great information here. So, after this session, I hope you’ll come here and just explore what’s available! In the center of the screen are the Nursing & Health databases. This is where you can access the CINAHL Plus with Full Text database. ProQuest Nursing & Allied Health Source is another great nursing databases. Some of you may already be familiar with MEDLINE with Full Text. As you scroll down, there are more databases to search. We’ve separated out some evidence based and clinical resources. So there’s a lot here to explore.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

I also want to point out that if I scroll back up to the top, over on the left, there are a number of brown boxes. Here you can find nursing books, or nursing theories, statistics, evidence-based practice, and levels of evidence. All of these resources can be very helpful. So, I hope you’ll come here and explore what we have for our nursing students.

With that, I’m going to turn it over to Kerry.

Visual: Adobe Connect, Course Readings & Assignment Guides, slide 3.

Narration: Kerry:Emily has shown you how to find your Course Readings and Assignment Guides. So, hopefully everyone is finding those okay.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

Visual: Nursing Resources, slide 4.

Narration: She also talked about accessing Articles by Topic and your Nursing Research home, where we try to bring all of your nursing resources together.

Visual: CINAHL Plus with Full Text, slide 5.

Narration: I’m going to talk about CINAHL Plus with Full Text. CINAHL is really The Nursing Database. It’s an acronym for the Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature. Which is a great acronym, since we never want to have to say that full title. The Plus with Full Text refers to the fact that we subscribe to this database with a large amount of full text articles available. It contains peer-reviewed journal articles. We can also limit our results to only full text, peer reviewed, and articles published within the last five years.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

I’m going to go ahead and share my screen and go into CINAHL, and show you how to run some searches and make it do what you want it to do.

Visual: Screenshare, Library homepage

Narration: I’m going to do the same thing that Emily did. I’m going to click on the Articles by Topic button.

Visual: Screenshare: Articles by Topic page

Narration: And then click on Nursing from the list of Subject Areas.

Visual: Screenshare: Nursing Research page

Narration: That will take you to the Nursing Research home. I do want to point out that there’s a quick video linked on this page that will demonstrate how to search CINAHL.

The first database under Nursing & Health Databases is CINAHL. So I’m going to click on that. It looks like I am logged in, so it took me right into the database.

Visual: Screenshare: CINAHL Plus with Full Text database Advanced Search Screen

Narration: Now I’m in the CINAHL Plus with Full Text database page. It is one of our EBSCO databases, so it’s going to look similar to a lot of the other databases you may have used in the Library.

The search boxes are up at the top and the limits are down below.

I’m going to do a search that is somewhat similar to your assignment for the week. So I’m going to do a search on nurses and retention and minorities. We’re looking for information on the retention of minority nurses.

In the first box, I’m going to put nurses. So, I’m breaking up my topic and putting each part in a separate box, because I want articles that are about all of these topics. And I don’t want to put them all in one box, because the database won’t know what I’m talking about if I do that.

You’ll see in between the different boxes, there’s an AND box. And we’re going to leave that alone, because this tells the database to combine these words in the search.

I’m going to put retention in the second box. And in the final box, I’m going to put minority.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

Now, I’ve got my search entered and I’ve combined these terms to say I want all of these terms to occur in the articles that I retrieve.

Visual: Screenshare: CINAHL Plus with Full Text databases, scroll down to the Search Options section.

Narration: There are a few things that I can do below the search boxes to set the parameters for my search to make it fit with the assignment. And one of those is that I want scholarly, peer-reviewed journal articles, so I’m going to check the box under Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals

You can see that it says, Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals. So that means that the journal itself is peer reviewed. So, the articles coming out of it have gone through the peer review process.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

In the left column, I can limit my results to only full text articles by clicking in the box under Full Text. Or I can leave this unchecked. If you feel like you have a big topic that is going to retrieve a lot of results, you can check this box. And that will limit your results to only articles that we have in full text in CINAHL.

I just want to mention that we have a lot of articles that come from other database providers, like ScienceDIrect and Ovid. So we have access a lot of journals in the health sciences and nursing field that aren’t in this database. For now, I’m going to leave Full Text unchecked to demonstrate how that works.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

Then I’m going to go down to the Publication Date and limit my results to the last five years. To do this, I just have to fill in the first year box. So, I’m going to enter in 2010 and the database will know to pull everything from 2010 to the current year.

Those are just some of the basic limits that you can use on your searches. They’re right there at the top and easily accessible. There are a lot of other options further down on your screen, and you will become familiar with those as you move forward with your course work. But for now, we’re just going to keep it simple.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

Visual: Screenshare: CINAHL Plus with Full Text database, scroll back up to the top.

Narration: Now I’m going to scroll back up to the top and click on the green Search button to run my search.

Visual: Screenshare: CINAHL Plus with Full Text database results screen

Narration: And you can see that I got a set of results of 38. Which is a nice manageable set to look through. This first article is in full text in CINAHL, since you see the PDF Full Text link underneath the article information. You can just click on this link to open the article.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

You’ll also see, if you don’t check the full text limiter, Find @ Walden buttons. And what these Find @ Walden buttons enable you to do, is to go out and look for the article in one of the other Library databases. For example, if I click on the Find @ Walden button it pops up a new window or new tab.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

Visual: Screenshare: Find @ Walden: Articles may load slowly screen

Narration: And it goes out and looks for the article in another database. For this one, it looks like we have the article in ScienceDIrect. It takes a minute to load, and then you’ll see a different look to the screen, since this is another database provider. We have the Download PDF link to get the full text, above the citation and abstract for the article.

Visual: Screenshare: CINAHL Plus with Full Text database results screen

Narration: Keep in mind that there are times when you’ll click on the Find @ Walden button and you won’t get the full text. I’d says it’s about a 50/50 chance that we’ll have the full text somewhere else. However, it will open up your searches if you don’t use the Full Text limiter.

If I want to modify my search a bit, and look for nursing shortages instead of minority. I can go back up to the top of the screen and take out Minority and enter Shortage instead. And I can leave everything else alone. All of my limits are in place. I have my keywords at the top. And then I just click on the Search button again and I get new results.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

Over on the left, you can see that my limits are still in place. These results are only going back to 2010 and they’ll all be from peer-reviewed journals.

As you can see, this search brought back a lot more articles. This time I have 191 results. So, if I was looking for an article for a weekly discussion, this would be an instance where I would go ahead and click the Full Text limit on the left column. And that takes me down to 100 results that are all available in full text in CINAHL. This is a great demonstration of how much full text is available in CINAHL. We have quite a bit and you could easily find an article from this set of results.

If you want to find out more about an article before you open the full text, you can click on the title of the article.

Visual: Screenshare: CINAHL Plus with Full Text databases detailed record screen

Narration: This brings up a record of the article and allows you to read the article’s abstract, as well as see the major and minor subjects that were assigned to the article. And that can help you with your searching if you’re not finding what you need. These subjects may help you pick out another search term that you could use.

Oftentimes in CINAHL, it’ll also tell you if the article is peer reviewed on this page. This isn’t true for all databases, but CINAHL does a good job with that.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

If I wanted to start over and do a new search, I can go to the top left of the screen and click on the New Search button in the blue toolbar.

Visual: Screenshare: CINAHL Plus with Full Text database advanced search screen

Narration: So, anytime you want to start over, you can use that trick.

Do I have any questions, Emily?

Emily: Yes. Could you go over limiting to peer review again?

Kerry: Sure! So, when I want to do a search, I enter my search terms in the search boxes. Then I come down and click in the box under Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals. I can also set the limit to only bring back articles from the last 5 years.

When you check the Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals, that’s how you know that your results are going to be from peer-reviewed journals.

Then I can click on the Search button.

Visual: Screenshare: CINAHL Plus with Full Text databases results screen

Narration: And now I see my 191 results. Just to show an example, if I removed my Peer Reviewed limit over on the left, I would then have 293 results. About 100 of those results are not from peer-reviewed journals. Just make sure you check that box and you’ll get peer-reviewed articles.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

Emily: Thank you, Kerry. I think that answers the question!

Kerry: Great! Are there any other questions?

Emily: Yes, there are a couple of questions about citing articles. Could you go over that?

Kerry: Sure, let me point out a couple of things with that.

So, I have an article up, so I’m just going to click on the title of the article to go into the record.

Visual: Screenshare: CINAHL Plus with Full Text databases detailed record screen

Narration: One of the tools inside of CINAHL that a lot of folks like is that over on the right side there’s a list of tools. One of these is Cite. And when you click on that, it’ll produce a list of citation styles. So, you can see that it does give you some variation of what an APA citation should look like. Now, keep in mind, this is not going to be 100% correct 100% of the time. But it is a nice way to get all of the information that you need to create your citation out of the database in a quick and easy format. A lot of times, if there is a DOI number, it will also put it at the end of the citation.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

What I recommend, is that you take this version of an APA citation out of the database and then using the Writing Center’s resources or your APA handbook, edit this citation to be precisely correct. This tool gives you a bit of a shortcut At least you have all of the citation information easily available. But remember, a computer is just a computer. You’re the smart part. You’re the one that’s going to make sure it’s correct.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

Visual: Screenshare: Library homepage

Narration: Now I’m just going to go over to the Library’s homepage and point out the Quick Answers box. You’ll find this Quick Answers box on a lot of the different department’s websites. So, if you went to the Writing Center, you’d also find this box. And the content is all blended together, so if you have a question about APA, you can come here and enter APA in the box. That will bring up a list of questions about APA.

Visual: Screenshare: How do I cite using APA? Quick Answer

Narration: If I click on How do I cite using APA? it’s going to take me to this nice answer on how to cite using APA. And it’s going to point you to different tips and examples. The Writing Center has a lot of really great examples on how to do common references. Here you’ll see an example of how to cite an article.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

Does that answer the question?

Emily: Yes, that was a really great answer. And we do have another question. How do you find an exact article in the Library?

Visual: Screenshare: Library homepage

Narration: Kerry: To find an exact article you’ll go back to the Library home page and you’ll see we have this purple Find Exact Article button on the left. I’m going to go ahead and click on that.

Visual: Screenshare: Find an Exact Article page

Narration: That takes you to a page where we have a Google Scholar search box. So, we do recommend using Google Scholar to find an exact article in the Library. But you do have to link Google Scholar to the Walden Library for this to work. In order to do that, you do have to go through these steps that are listed if you click on the link Learn how to find an article by title in Google Scholar. If you just click on this link, it’ll take you to this Quick Answer.

Visual: Screenshare: Learn how to find an article by title in Google Scholar Quick Answer

Narration: This page will walk you through how to link Google Scholar to the Library and then how to search for an article by title in Google Scholar. And you’ll see the Find at Walden links that work just the same as they do in the Library databases. So, they’ll take you to the full text of the article wherever it is in the Library.

Do I have any other questions?

Emily: Just one final thing. Could you point out how students can contact us after this session?

Kerry: Absolutely! I’m going to go back to the Library home page.

Visual: Screenshare: Library homepage

Narration: We keep coming back to these colored buttons over on the left. We’ve touched on all of these: Course Readings, Articles by Topic, and Find Exact Article. So, finally, the Ask a Librarian button, when everything else fails.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

Visual: Screenshare: Ask a Librarian page

Narration: On the Ask a Librarian page, you’ll see our phone number and the hours that we answer the phone. We’re here late at night during the week. And we’re here on the weekends. If we don’t answer when you call, please leave us a message. We’ll call you back, hopefully within an hour. The only reason we don’t call back in that time frame is because so many people are calling and we’re on the phone. Just leave us a message if we don’t answer. Don’t just keep calling, because we’ll just call back the next person who left us a message. And you’ll get left out of the loop.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

If you have a little time, 24 hours, you can use our email form in the center of the screen. Just fill in all of the details. It’s really helpful if you can include what course you’re working on. So if you are working say the NURS 6001 discussion, please tell us and then we’ll know how best to help you with that discussion. Same thing with NURS 6050, if you tell us you’re in that course, we’ll know what week and we’ll be better able to help you.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

At the bottom is the box where you’ll enter your question. Our general rule of thumb is that if you struggle with something for more than 20-30 minutes, then you should reach out to us. We don’t want you to be spending hours finding articles for your discussion posts. We understand that it may take more time to find articles for a final project, but for those weekly discussion posts, we wouldn’t want you to struggle too long. That’s what we’re here for, to ask us questions! We’ll walk you through searching, picking keywords and databases.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

Emily: Thanks for pointing that out, Kerry! Please do email or call us, and we will be happy to help you. So, I don’t see any more question. I think we’re good!

Kerry: Great, then I’ll come back into the Connect room.

Narration: Did I cover all that? Looks like I did!

Visual: Questions? slide 6

Narration: Emily: Thank you everyone for attending. We hope that this has been helpful, that you know how to find your course readings, you know that there’s assignment help available, you know how to access the nursing resources, and access CINAHL to find peer-reviewed articles. And please do reach out to us if you have anymore questions!

Kerry: Bye everyone!

The CINAHL Plus with Full Text database is an unfiltered database containing over 700 nursing and allied health related journals. While the database itself is unfiltered, you can still use it to find evidence-based practice resources, including systematic reviews. You can also use it to find unfiltered resources, including randomized controlled trials, case studies, and other primary research studies.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

On this page you will learn how to limit your results in CINAHL to:

systematic reviews
randomized controlled trials
cohort studies
case studies
other document types
Set up your search
When searching for complex topics, you'll want to use multiple search terms and Boolean operators, both in the search boxes and between the search boxes, to get the best results. To learn more about Boolean operators, please see this Quick Answer:

Quick Answer: What are Boolean operators?

Here is an example of how to put together a complex search in CINAHL:

On the Library homepage, go to the Subject Resources box.

Click on Select a subject and choose: Nursing.
Click on the Evidence based & clinical resources section and choose CINAHL Plus with Full Text database.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

Note: If you have not already logged in to the Library databases, you will be prompted to log in with your myWalden Portal user name and password.

Once you are in the database, use the search boxes to enter your keywords. For example, in the first search box, enter:

Neonatal OR NICU

Note: You can use OR to link together your synonyms, or related words, in a search box, allowing the database to search more broadly.

In the second search box enter:

Handwashing OR "Hand Washing" OR "Hand Rubs" OR "Hand Disinfection"

Note: Putting quotation marks around phrases tells the database to search for these words as a phrase and not as individual words.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

In the third search box enter:

"Infection Control" OR "Cross Infection"

Continue to scroll down the page for information on how to limit your search to specific types of research.

Systematic reviews
CINAHL contains many systematic reviews published in journals.

Once you have set up your search, here is how you can limit your results to only systematic reviews in CINAHL:

Scroll down the page below the search boxes until you find the Publication Type box.
In the Publication Type box select Systematic Review by finding it in the list and clicking on it (it will then be highlighted).NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

Randomized controlled trials
Randomized controlled trials are the studies commonly used to support systematic reviews and are a high level of evidence. They are usually one of the easiest study types to find in any nursing or medical database.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

Once you have set up your search, here is how you can limit your results to only randomized controlled trials:

Scroll down the page below the search boxes until you see Randomized Controlled Trials.
Click in the check box below Randomized Controlled Trials.

Then click on the Search button to run your search.
Cohort studies
Cohort studies are a type of longitudinal study, or observational study, that analyze risk factors by following groups that share a common characteristic or experience over time. Since these studies have a long-term component, they promote a better quality of evidence than a shorter study. There are also fewer of them, and they can be harder to find.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

Here is an example of a search for a cohort study in CINAHL:

Set up your search. For example, in the first search box you could enter:

Neonatal

In the second search box, enter any additional keywords. For example, you could enter:

"Infection Control"

Note: Putting quotation marks around phrases tells the database to search for these words as a phrase and not as individual words.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

In the third search box enter:

"Cohort Study"

Case studies
A case study, or case report, is a research method involving a detailed investigation of a single individual or a single organized group. Case studies may be prospective (in which criteria are established and cases fitting the criteria are included as they become available) or retrospective (in which criteria are established and cases are selected from historical records for inclusion in the study).

Once you have set up your search, here is how you can limit your results to only case studies:

Scroll down the page below the search boxes until you find the Publication Type box.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

We have over 100,000 books on wide-ranging topics, from encyclopedias and handbooks to in-depth scholarly works. All of our books are online—we do not own or send out any physical copies.

Books can be found in individual book collections as well as some research databases that primarily have articles (see the full list). You can also search for all of our books at once using the Library book search.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

Keep in mind when searching:

The Catalog
The catalog searches all books, as well as journal titles (but not individual articles) and Walden dissertations and project studies.
While it’s advantageous to search all books at once, it’s difficult to sort out journals and dissertations to look only at books.
You can search by title, author, subjects, and keywords in the book summary or chapter titles, if available. You cannot search the full text of the book to discover it.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.
If your topic is narrow or obscure, you will need to search using broader terms—ones more likely to appear in the book or chapter titles.
For example, to find books that discuss nursing theorist Lydia Hall, you will get no results if you search for "Lydia Hall." Instead you must search for "nursing theory" or "nursing theorists," and then search within individual books for mentions of "Lydia Hall."
Difficult to browse by topic or subject area.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.
Individual Book Collections
Find only books in the individual book collections.
While it’s useful to focus only on books, you’re limited to that one collection. To capture everything, you will need to search separate collections individually.
You can search by title, author, subjects, and keywords, plus the full text of books.
This is useful for finding narrower and more obscure topics, including the names of people, places, etc.
For example, you can search for nursing theorist Lydia Hall in the full text of books and easily find which books mention her. However, you will need to search for Lydia Hall in multiple collections to know you're finding all relevant books.
Easier to browse by topic or subject area.
Books in the Catalog
Use the library catalog to search multiple e-book collections at once, plus journals and Walden dissertations.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.

Enter terms into the search box and click Go.NURS 3020 Health Assessment Assignment Papers.
